  Painted entirely in Photoshop using the hard edged brush at varying levels of opacity. Working fairly large - 5000 x 3779 pixels t 300dpi - with my Wacom Intuos 3 tablet and pen.<br />

I had to force myself to try and finish this one to try and break my current creative block. Still trying to work on other ideas but nothing is succesful enough yet.<br />

Just an exercise to paint more hair really, turning up the flow and opacity jitter to max on a 3 pixel brush. I also used a hair texture brush on a lot of the underpainting of the hair, varying its opacity.<br />

Who knows what it may bring. I'm still fascinated by what Photoshop can do and enjoy experimenting with portrait work. I'm afraid I have a complete blind spot when it comes to fantasy art so I'll be continuing my learning process with portraits for the time being.<br />
   Photoshop CS2, Wacom Intuos 3, my own reference photo. Trying to loosen up a bit, everything - except the lettering - painted on one layer with the hard edged brush. Hair texture brush used in the hair.<br />
